Are we ever really done styling and/or decorating our home? I think the answer is “no”. I’m sure the answer is “no” because I’m the perfect example of it. Almost 2 years now that I live in my cosy little place but I still have the impression that I’m not done yet.
Very satisfied about the furniture, the colors fit together and are soothing. But the decoration… To me (and I think to many) the most difficult part of the whole process. Diffifcult to find that right balance. Your home should bring you peace, too much decoration could create the inverse.
As you can see, I opted for a gray (with a black touch) interior, which makes color extra important and flowers and plants indispensable. I also couldn’t imagine my interior without carpets. I really couldn’t. The color of my curtains can also be found in it, no this isn’t accidental. I have been browsing the internet until I found the matching carpets. (And yes it took some time…)
But my walls… My walls are still a big question mark and that’s the reason why we’re still not “done” yet. At this moment I have a frame with several pictures and a simple flatlay behind the sofa, that has been okay for some time but it’s time for an upgrade. Simple but still striking, like a triptych. I’ve been browsing websites as SMARTPHOTO, FOTOFABRIEK, MYPOSTER, …. And have been surprised of all the possibilities. Once I’ve made my choice, I’ll definitely drop a new post with all the details. (won’t be long as fall is officially in town, this gives me some extra motivation to work in my home)
So this is my livingroom so far, which I’m already proud of. Can’t wait to finish it off and to show you the results of the wall decoration. And once this room is done, I’ll be restyling my bedroom. (Also a huge project)
Some more pictures comin’ your way. Thanks for reading, talk to you soon. Love, your girl
