Aaah sunday, lazy sunday! Let’s talk some food today. Those who have been following me for some time know that I’m addicted to food. The more, the better. Mostly healthy, but there are some days… Those all-you-can-eat days, where ice cream, candy,… are no longer a dessert or snack but the main dish. Not even ashamed to share this “bad habbit” with all of you. But not today! Today’s an healthy dish kind of day. Let me introduce you to my version of pasta with salmon and broccoli in cream sauce.
It’s the first time that I’m serving it this way, the salmon’s poached instead of baked. And I like it better this way, softer and therefore more pleasant to eat. I think I’ll always cook it this way from now on. The sauce was made the classic way, with butter and flour. But I also added chives, kept a little bit of water of the pasta and broccoli, to give it some extra taste.
This is an easy dish, let’s say ready in 30-35 minutes and not much can go wrong when preparing. The cream sauce might be the tricky one, because you can’t lose sight of it. But in general you can call this a beginner’s dish. What I am, ’cause no matter how much I love food, cooking is not my strong point. But I keep tryin’ and must say that I can see some progress in all the cooking. I hope to upgrade to some more difficult dishes soon. Any dishes you’d like to see me cook? Challenge me, challenge me!
